WHEREAS, The Larimer Consensus Group has emerged as a shining example of a community-driven organization that has tirelessly worked towards the betterment of the Larimer neighborhood; and,

WHEREAS, The Larimer Consensus Group, comprised of passionate residents, community leaders, and stakeholders, has been instrumental in fostering positive change, advocating for social justice, and improving the quality of life for all residents; and,
WHEREAS, The Larimer Consensus Group has demonstrated exceptional leadership by engaging in constructive dialogue, consensus building, and the implementation of innovative strategies to address the needs of the community; and,
WHEREAS, The Larimer neighborhood has showcased remarkable resilience, overcoming challenges and embracing opportunities to transform into a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive community; and,
WHEREAS, The Larimer Consensus Group and the Larimer neighborhood have collaborated to revitalize housing, enhance educational opportunities, promote economic development, and create a safe and nurturing environment for residents of all ages; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend The Larimer Consensus Group for their tireless efforts in fostering collaboration, advocating for equity, and empowering residents to actively participate in shaping the future of the Larimer neighborhood; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, July 21, 2023, to be “Larimer Consensus Group Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
