WHEREAS, on January 6, 2005, the Pittsburgh Chapter of the NAACP took on new leadership; and
 
WHEREAS, with a "New Vision, New Leadership, and a New Direction", M. Gayle Moss was sworn in as the new President of the Pittsburgh NAACP; and
 
WHEREAS, initiatives of the Pittsburgh NAACP include increasing the awareness of the NAACP and to increase membership to the NAACP; and
 
WHEREAS, the New NAACP Executive Board include; M. Gayle Moss, President: Constance Parker, First Vice-President: Marcella Lee, Second Vice President: John E. May, Third Vice President: Cordelia Sanders, Secretary: Nyata Robinson, Assistant Secretary: Alma Speed Fox, Treasurer: and Martha H. Garvey, Assistant Treasurer; and
 
WHEREAS, the New NAACP board include; Harvey Adams, Lea Blumenfeld, Ophelia Coleman, Eric Conley, Taru J. Cook, Agnes Franklin, Charles Graham, Alma P. Harris, Edward Meeks, Jr., Thelma Lovette Morris, Betty L. Maxwell, Johnnie L. Miott, Lemuel O. Nixon, Charles M. Powell, Regina Regin, Cmdr. Richard A.
