Resolution authorizing the Mayor to file an application for a $200,000 EPA Brownfields Pilot Program grant, to execute a cooperative funding agreement and designating the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh as the City's agent for implementation of the activities set forth in the application.  (Council District No. 5).

 

Body

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to file an application with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") for a grant of up to $200,000 under the Brownfields Supplemental Assistance for Assessment Demonstration Pilots Program and to execute a cooperative funding agreement or agreements and any certifications and assurances required by EPA if the grant is awarded.

 

Section 2.  Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is hereby designated as the City's agent for implementation of the activities set forth in the application and is authorized to receive funds directly from EPA if the grant is awarded.
