Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the Richard King Mellon Foundation to receive $400,000 in funding for three years support to create a Regional Data Resource Center to serve as a portal for interactive data sharing between government agencies, departments, and other nonprofit and public agencies.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Richard King Mellon Foundation for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000). These funds will be used to create a regional data resource center to serve as a data sharing center. The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the JDE# 0229400142.48311.00 for Budget Year 2015.
Section 2. The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the RK Mellon Foundation outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures shall not exceed four hundred thousand ($400,000.00) chargeable to and payable from the JDE# 0229400142.50000.00 for Budget Year 2015.
