Resolution approving the recommendation made by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure that the concrete portion of Verona Boulevard from Poketa Road to 7281 Verona Boulevard be paved with asphalt in accordance with Section 417.06 of the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances.

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh City Council by Ordinance 42 of 2018 amended Section 417.06 of the City of Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances requires final legislative approval of City Council should the Director of Mobility and Infrastructure recommend asphalt paving of a street that is currently brick, block stone, wood, or concrete; and

 

WHEREAS, Verona Boulevard from Poketa Road to 7281 Verona Boulevard is currently brick and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure recommends that such streets have an overlay of asphalt; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to advance the paving of the brick portion of Verona Boulevard from Poketa Road to 7281 Verona Boulevard with an asphalt overlay as recommended by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is authorized to pave the brick portion of Verona Boulevard from Poketa Road to 7281 Verona Boulevard with an overlay of asphalt.
