WHEREAS, on April 29, 2021, the Allegheny County Democratic Black Caucus (ACDBC) will be celebrating the accomplishments of Hon. Judge Dwayne Woodruff, Dr. Cyril Wecht, Franco Harris, Art Rooney Jr., Tim Stevens and other men throughout Allegheny County, Statewide and the World during the First Ever Honorable Evelyn D. Richardson Springtime Affair; and,

WHEREAS, as a Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County judge, Hon. Judge Woodruff finds it a privilege to be in a position to give guidance to youth, especially young black males, who come before him in court. He serves as an Elder, Growth Group Facilitator and Marriage Ministry Mentor at Allegheny Center Alliance Church; and,
WHEREAS, medical-legal consultant and forensic pathologist, Dr. Cyril Wecht currently holds various faculty positions at the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University and Carlow University, and serves as chairman of the Advisory Board of The Cyril H. Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law. He has authored or co-authored more than 625 professional publications and popular nonfiction books and was editor or co-editor of 46 books; and,
WHEREAS, retired American football player and Pro Football and New Jersey Hall of Famer Franco Harris has co-founded a bakery business with his friend Mitchell and owns the "Pittsburgh Passion" football team, ranked the best female football team in the world; and,
WHEREAS, Art Rooney Jr., owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, devotes a substantial amount of his time to various organizations in the Pittsburgh community. He currently serves on the boards of the Pittsburgh Public Theater, Saint Vincent College, Senator John Heinz Western PA History Center and the United Way of America; and,
WHEREAS, Tim Stevens, Chairman and CEO of the Black Political Empowerment Project
(B-PEP), founded B-PEP with the belief that all African-Americans in Pittsburgh should have the resources to empower themselves and their communities; and,
