Title

Resolution providing for the creation of the Rental Permit Trust Fund and for setting conditions for the deposit and expenditure of such funds.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      That the City Controller is hereby authorized and directed to create a trust fund entitled "Rental Permit Trust Fund" into which shall be deposited any and all funds paid to the City for permit registration fees, rental inspections fees and fines associated with non-compliance with this Trust Fund.

Section 2.  Any such funds accumulated may be expended for hiring additional BBI inspectors and other appropriate staff and/or hardware/software to adequately manage this Rental Permit program.

Section 3.  The Trust Fund shall be established within the organization of Finance, set forth in the City of Pittsburgh's annual budget and may only be expended through the regular contracting process or other expenditures as set forth in the city.
