Title
Resolution providing for an agreement or agreements by and between the City of Pittsburgh and College Development in connection with College Development's development and construction of certain dwellings on Zama Road, in the 14th Ward, and acceptance by the City of a deed from College Development to certain property on Zama Road, and authorizing the City to construct on said property a City street.

Body
Whereas, College Development has entered into an Agreement to purchase certain property on Zama Road and Fernwald Road in the 14th Ward, upon which College Development proposes to construct four single family dwellings; and

Whereas, the area known as Zama Road is not a public street, but has been used by the public as a means of passage for many years, and construction of a public street is warranted in conjunction with the College Development project; and

Whereas, Zama Road is physically connected to Anita Avenue, an existing, open City street, and upon opening of Zama Road as a public street it would be in the public interest as matters of safety and convenience to re-name as "Anita Avenue" the entire area now encompassing Zama Road and Anita Avenue; and

Whereas, College Development will commit to development and construction of at least four (4) single family dwellings on land which is now vacant, and will convey to the City at no cost to the City the area required for construction of a public street; and

Whereas, the proposed public street will be designed by the Department of Engineering and Construction, and constructed by the Department of Public Works, and

Whereas, the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority ("PWSA"), in order to aid the College Development project, will construct and install appropriate lines and other equipment and facilities to provide water and sewer service to the project and the dwellings to be constructed.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh...
