WHEREAS, St. Rosalia of the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Greenfield had a very successful season in the highly competitive Pittsburgh Diocesan League; and,
WHEREAS, St. Rosalia's CYM Boys Basketball team began its season as runners up on its own pre-season tournament, they then went on to win the Central section of the Diocese; and,
WHEREAS, the team proceeded to go on and win the Diocese playoffs held at Bishop Canevin High School ensuring them a spot to represent Pittsburgh in Scranton at the state playoffs; and,
WHEREAS, under the advisory of the circumstances they performed to the best of there abilities and most of all had fun while representing the Diocese of Pittsburgh; and,
WHEREAS, the members of the team are:

WHEREAS, the team was lead by head coach Rob Pugh and assistant coaches Pat Welsh, Derick Fonas and Nick Cenname.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend St. Rosalia's CYM Basketball Team on a great season and a job well done; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday March 21, 2005 to be "St. Rosalia's CYM Basketball Team Day" here in the City of Pittsburgh.
