Resolution providing for an Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County for costs associated with the Armstrong Tunnel Project; providing for the payment of the costs thereof, not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars and Sixteen Cents ($1,262,395.16), an increase of Two Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars and Fifty-Four Cents ($249,377.54) from the previously passed authorization (760 of 2023).

WHEREAS, Allegheny County advanced a project to provide for the rehabilitation of the Armstrong Tunnels located within the City of Pittsburgh ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, certain facilities within the Project area including lighting, CCTV camera system, and fiber optic cable with associated conduit, junction boxes, foundation and pedestal for future traffic signals, and other applicable appurtenances, are the responsibility of the City of Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh seeks to have aforementioned facilities replaced, altered, or installed as part of the Project; and
WHEREAS, Allegheny County is willing to perform this work as part of the Project subject to the contribution by the City of Pittsburgh for costs incurred; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to enter into an agreement with Allegheny County to provide for contribution by the City of Pittsburgh of this aforementioned work.
Now, therefore be it resolved by The Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County for costs associated with certain work provided for the benefit of the City of Pittsburgh by Allegheny County as part of the Armstrong Tunnel Project at an amount not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Three H...
