Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to dedicate, as right of way for a public highway, a portion of the City owned Eliza Furnace Trail, Part of Block and Lot 11-S-95, in the South Oakland Neighborhood of the Council District No. 6, for the widening of Bates Street, Pennsylvania Highway Route No. 885, at the intersection with Second Avenue.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh is constructing a new trail bridge over Bates Street and widening Bates Street at the intersection with Second Avenue to improve traffic flow, and;
 
WHEREAS, the parcel of land is required right of way for Bates Street, Pennsylvania Highway Route No. 885, and;
 
WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is willing to accept the dedicated required right of way at no cost.
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.        Authorizes the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Finance, and the Director of the Department of Public Works to dedicate, as right of way for a public highway, a portion of the City owned Eliza Furnace Trail, Part of Block and Lot No. 11-S-95, for the widening of Bates Street, Pennsylvania Highway Route No. 885, at the intersection with Second Avenue.
 
The required dedication description is indicated on "Attachment A".
 
Section 2.        Authorizes the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Finance, and the Director of the Department of Public Works to pay all recording costs pertaining to the dedication.
