Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a professional services agreement with WSP Global, Inc., and/or its subsidiary WSP USA, for a period of two (2) years, for management services in conjunction with a Comprehensive Bridge Asset Management Program at an amount not-to-exceed One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00).
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh currently operates a portfolio of 150 bridges, ranging from small sub-20' beam bridges and pedestrian/trail bridges to major truss bridges; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Ed Gainey announced on May 5, 2022 the creation of a Comprehensive Bridge Asset Management Program designed to focus directly on the safety, integrity, and funding for maintenance of the City's bridges.
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh advertised for management professional services for a Comprehensive Bridge Asset Management Program through Request for Proposal 2022-RFP-137 ("RFP") on May 5, 2022; and
WHEREAS, WSP Global, Inc. and its subsidiaries including WSP USA, were selected as qualified and able to perform the professional services requested under the RFP; and
WHEREAS, the City now wishes to enter into a professional services agreement with WSP Global, Inc., for the provision of management services in connection with the Comprehensive Bridge Asset Management Program.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure are authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with WSP Global, Inc., and/or its subsidiary WSP USA, for a period of two (2) years, for the provision of management services in conjunction with the Comprehensive Bridge Asset Management Program at an amount not-to-exceed One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00), authorized for the appropriation from the ...
