WHEREAS, the New Pittsburgh Banjo Club and Music Preservation Society, informally known as the Pittsburgh Banjo Club, is based in the City of Pittsburgh; and

WHEREAS, the mission of the New Pittsburgh Banjo Club and Music Preservation Society, informally known as the Pittsburgh Banjo Club, is to provide an opportunity for banjo music enthusiasts, amateurs, and afficionados to meet and entertain each other and anyone who is interested every Wednesday evening at the Allegheny Elks Lodge on Pittsburgh’s Northside; and
WHEREAS, the New Pittsburgh Banjo Club and Music Preservation Society, informally known as the Pittsburgh Banjo Club Pittsburgh Banjo Club, as an Applicant acting through the instructions of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended, desires to host small games of chance and/or conduct related fundraisers that include, but are not limited to, Nights at the Races, raffles and drawings, auctions, benefit dinners, benefit dances, benefit concerts, bingo, and table games, to be scheduled, organized, and managed throughout the year as its operations merit.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the New Pittsburgh Banjo Club and Music Preservation Society, informally known as the Pittsburgh Banjo Club, as a civic and service organization within the appropriate context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
