Title

Resolution closing out Keystone PITA Grant Project KEY-TAG-5-163, a grant received by the City of Pittsburgh from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to conduct an Athletic Fields Feasibility Study.

 

Body

Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh has prepared an Athletic Fields Feasibility Study addressing athletic fields within the City; and

 

Whereas, the purpose of the Study is to inventory all athletic fields within the City, analyze maintenance and permitting procedures for the fields, compare supply with demand, suggest new field sites, suggest order of magnitude costs, and make recommendations related to this analysis; and

 

Whereas; the plan was financed in part by a Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund Act Program grant under the administration of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, under contract number KEY-TAG-5-163.

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  That the Director of the Department of City Planning is authorized and directed to take appropriate action to close out the contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources since the project was completed and all expenditures made were in accordance with the grant contract, the Athletic Fields Study is acceptable to the City of Pittsburgh, and the Athletic Fields Study will be used to guide decisions related to athletic field use, maintenance and construction in the City of Pittsburgh.
