WHEREAS, a program sponsored by the Allegheny General Hospital Auxiliary and the Allegheny General Hospital-North Side Leadership Conference Partnership, on "Stranger Danger Awareness" will be conducted throughout the month of March, and;
WHEREAS, the disappearance and murder of East Allegheny resident Scott Drake was the catalyst for the Stranger Danger Awareness Program on the North Side, and;
WHEREAS, the program is in its seventh year of targeting students in North Side Elementary Schools - this year being at the Manchester Elementary School and Spring Hill Elementary School, and;
WHEREAS the elementary students receive three days of instruction from Oliver High School, and Perry Traditional Academy, Taylor Allderdice High School students focusing on the importance of Stranger Danger Awareness on March 7, March 14, and March 28, and;
WHEREAS the program will conclude with a performance for students by David Grover and the Big Bear Band on Wednesday, April 9, and;
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh wishes to recognize, commend and thank the following individuals for their participation in this program:
