• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and celebrate the 90th birthday of Sarah V. McNamee and commends her for her dedication to her family and her community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 26, 2011, to be “Sarah V. McNamee Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Sarah V. McNamee of Ledgedale Street in Westwood was born on April 4, 1921; she married the late Paul McNamee on August 31, 1943; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. McNamee is one of six sisters and is blessed with seven children, seventeen grandchildren, and one great grandchild; and,      

WHEREAS, Ms. McNamee has been and continues to be very active in the community which is evident with her past association in the Meals on Wheels program, Christian Mothers and her local Vacation Bible School and her present involvement with the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and a Social Card Club with friends; and,

WHEREAS, she thrives on exulting the importance of family as seen by her engagement in extensive family activities; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and celebrate the 90^th birthday of Sarah V. McNamee and commends her for her dedication to her family and her community; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 26, 2011, to be "Sarah V. McNamee Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
