WHEREAS, The Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC), a non-profit technical assistance agency founded in 1981, is committed to developing and strengthening neighborhoods by investing in the volunteers and staff of community-based organizations through training and customized consulting services, providing the foundation for organization leaders to develop the skills required to create and operate effective neighborhood groups, tenant councils, community-based organizations and community development corporations in Southwestern Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, CTAC's Core Series program, now in its 19th year, consists of seven workshops designed to strengthen community-based, non-profit organizations within the realms of Leadership, Board Structure & Bylaws, Foundation & Donor Relations, Conflict Management, Board Roles & Responsibilities, Strategic Planning, and Financial Management; and
WHEREAS, the following individuals have successfully completed CTAC's 2012 Core Series which ran from March 22 to May 3, 2012, featuring 42 individual community leaders from 26 different organizations and communities:
