Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh City Code, Title Eight, Fire Prevention, Chapter 801, Adoption, Enforcement, and Amendments, by repealing Chapter 801 in its entirety and replacing it with a new Chapter 801.

The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The City Code at Title Eight, Fire Prevention, Chapter 801, Adoption, Enforcement, and Amendments, is hereby repealed in its entirety and replaced with a new Chapter 801, as follows:
TITLE EIGHT - FIRE PREVENSION
CHAPTER 801: ADOPTION, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENDMENTS
801.01 ADOPTION AND PURPOSE
There is hereby adopted by the City of Pittsburgh, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and explosion, that certain code known as the International Fire Code/2009, listed in Section 403.21 of Annex A, Title 34 Pennsylvania Labor and Industry Part X1V Uniform Construction Code, except for such portions thereof as are changed by Section 801.02 of this chapter.
801.02 CHANGES SPECIFIED
The International Fire Code/2009 adopted by Section 801.01 of this title is hereby changed by the enactment, repeal or amendment of provisions, which changes are indicated on the following pages, with the location in the code for that page noted by the heading "changes - page(s)".
