Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we congratulate and thank Dan for his years of service for the City of Pittsburgh and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday, May 29, 2025 to be "Dan Cuneen" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Dan was born October 15, 1942 middle child of Josephine and Charles Cuneen. He grew up in Brookline, his late sister Betty and younger sister Carol all grew up in Brookline where Dan continues to live today and,

WHEREAS, Dan enlisted in the Marine Corps July 1960-July 1964. He became a City of Pittsburgh Police Officer in1969, later dan married Janet Cuneen on December 11, 1971 and had 2 daughters, Janell and Janae; and 5 grandchildren, Sierra, Stephen, Nathan, Dacien and Amara and,

WHEREAS, Dan retired from the City of Pittsburgh Police Department as a Detective in 1995, became a Private Investigator doing private work for many local and out-of-state attorneys, became Judge Judy Olson tipstaff 2009-2010 until she was elected a Superior Court Judge; and Became Judge Arnie "It's Time for Klein" Klein's tipstaff January 2010 through May 30, 2025 and,

WHEREAS, Dan is his daughters and grandchildren's BIGGEST and #1 FAN! He rarely misses any of his grandchildren's sporting events or activities and if he does it's because he's on a golf course! He organized and ran the City of Pittsburgh Police softball team for 30+ years, organized and still organizes yearly golf trips to Florida, Ohio and other locations for over 40 continuous years and belongs to a bowling league and a pool league. To say, at the age of 82, that he's very active is an understatement and,

WHEREAS, Dan will be missed both professionally and as a friend in the courtroom and halls of the City County Building. He has displayed the highest example of character, ethics, morals and unselfish service (even though Arnie has some stories that will say otherwise). Judge Klein describes Dan as being a dedicated and loyal employee who will be deeply missed, especially during lunch time and,

WHEREAS, as a father he has been a pillar of strength and unwavering support throughout his family's life, consistently demonstrating the qualities of a loving, caring, and responsible father. His...
