WHEREAS, Streets on Carson, located at 1120 East Carson Street in Pittsburgh's historic South Side neighborhood, opened in March 2016 and has since become a popular destination known for its creative approach to global street food and its vibrant neighborhood atmosphere; and
WHEREAS, the restaurant was founded by Chef Matthew Christie and Lauren Christie, whose vision was to celebrate the everyday foods found in markets and street stalls around the world and introduce Pittsburgh diners to those flavors through thoughtfully crafted, approachable dishes; and,
WHEREAS, Chef Christie combined his fine-dining training with extensive research into international street food traditions to create a menu inspired by cuisines from across the globe, allowing guests to experience flavors from many cultures without ever leaving the South Side; and,
WHEREAS, the restaurant's lively interior, featuring street-inspired d?cor, artwork, and design elements reflecting the surrounding neighborhood, captures the spirit of East Carson Street and contributes to the unique character of Pittsburgh's South Side dining scene; and,
WHEREAS, Streets on Carson has built a loyal following through its commitment to creativity, hospitality, and a rotating menu that continues to explore new global influences while celebrating the diversity of street food traditions; and,
WHEREAS, as Streets on Carson celebrates its 10-year anniversary in 2026, this milestone reflects the dedication and entrepreneurial spirit of its founders, staff, and the many patrons who have supported the restaurant over the past decade; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and congratulate Streets on Carson on the occasion of its 10-year anniversary and commends Chef Matthew Christie, Lauren Christie, and their team for their contributions to the culinary and cultural life of the City of Pittsburgh; and
