WHEREAS, The National Association of Women Business Owners propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social, and political spheres of power worldwide; and,
WHEREAS, as an organization with a customer first philosophy, the National Association of Women Business Owners strengthens the wealth creating capacity of its members and promote economic development, creating innovative and effective changes in the business culture by building strategic alliances, coalitions and affiliations to transform public policy and influencing opinion makers; and,
WHEREAS, The National Association of Women Business Owners Pittsburgh chapter was founded in 1977; and,
WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh chapter of NAWBO is the fifth oldest chapter in the United States and represents the interest of over 62,00 women business owners in the Pittsburgh metropolitan region; and,
WHEREAS, the following women and men will be recognized at the Make the Connection Awards Luncheon on Wednesday March 23, 2002 for their exceptional contributions to the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and our region:
