Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from the Digital Harbor Foundation by way of the National Science Foundation to participate in a multi city effort to improve technology and technology related educational programing. This grant will support the city’s Rec2Tech initiative and will focus on building curriculum and tech improvements at two city recreation centers over three years. This resolution further provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed Three Hundred, Forty Five Thousand, One Hundred, Eighty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($345,182.00).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreations of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Digital Harbor Foundation in order to receive a National Science Foundation grant award in the amount of Three Hundred, Forty Five Thousand, One Hundred Eighty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($345,182.00) for the purpose of improving technology and technology based education at two City of Pittsburgh Recreation Centers. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account: 5029400335.45703.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into agreements, or contracts, or utilize existing agreements or contracts not to exceed Three Hundred, Forty Five Thousand, One Hundred Eighty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($345,182.00) for the purposes of improving technology and technology based education at two City of Pittsburgh Recreation Centers under the terms of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Digital Harbor Foundation chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 5029400335.50000.00.
