      WHEREAS, the Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League on Friday, April 23, 2004 held the Pennsylvania State Golden Gloves Championship Tournament; and

      WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania State Golden Gloves Championship Tournament took place at Heinz Field's Coca Cola Great Hall; and

      WHEREAS, the sponsors for the 2004 Pennsylvania Golden Gloves Championship Tournament are:

§      CRS Sales Rentals Services;

§      Iron City Pro Boxing, LLC;

§      Western PA Police Athletic League;

§      Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott; and

      WHEREAS, the 2004 Pennsylvania State Golden Gloves

Champions are:

§      at 119 lbs  Mario Acosta from the 3^rd Ave Gym;

§      at 140 lbs Bridget Fenton from the Exercise Warehouse;

§      at 141 lbs Mike Strauss from Martial Arts Sport Complex;

§      at 152 lbs Mark Daley from Carrick Athletic Club and;

§      at 178 lbs Rocco Tettis  from Ridgeway Boxing; and

      WHEREAS, these individuals devoted long hours to earn victories over other skilled and accomplished athletes from throughout the entire State of Pennsylvania.

TITLE

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates the 2004 Pennsylvania State Golden Gloves Champions as well as the others who participated in and sponsored the tournament.
