WHEREAS, Terry Lundsford grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Perry Traditional Academy.  After graduation she attended Community College of Allegheny County; and, 
 
WHEREAS, she began her career with the National Aviary on July 20, 2000; and,  
 
WHEREAS, Terry’s unwavering dedication exemplified excellence in service. Through her consistent hard work, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail, she ensured the building remained clean, safe, and welcoming to both visitors and staff members alike; and,  
 
WHEREAS, her positive attitude and tireless efforts contributed daily to a professional environment that fostered pride, comfort, and community among staff; and, 
 
WHEREAS, in 2015, her hard work was celebrated when she was promoted to Senior Crewmember. Her leadership qualities were put to good use as she provided guidance and training to newer Crewmembers, contributing to their success in the role; and,
 
WHEREAS, Terry was born and raised on the Northside of the City of Pittsburgh and is first and foremost a devoted mother of four children, Tamara, Mark, Ebony and Keanon; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Terry Lundsford for 25 years of outstanding service and commitment to the National Aviary of Pittsburgh; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, October 28, 2025 to be “Terry Lundsford Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
