Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes Cub Scout Pack 601 and commends them for their allegiance to the City of Pittsburgh and their dedication to remaining involved and upstanding citizens. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday March 30th, to be "Cub Scout Pack 601 Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Pack 601 Cub Scouts have been active in the Pittsburgh area and have worked to improve their communities and the City of Pittsburgh as a whole.
 
WHEREAS, Pack 601 is committed to the community through donating warm clothing in December, participating in the "Fairhaven Greenway Clean Up Project" each April, as well as a Scouting for Food Drive each spring.
 
WHEREAS, the pack participates in positive activities such as the Pinewood Derby, Rain-gutter Regatta, and the Soap Box derby.  Each time, making their own cars, boats and derby cars to participate in the race.
 
WHEREAS, Pack 601 was recently recognized at the Resurrection Church for earning their religious medals in February.
 
WHEREAS, thirteen members of the pack have been honored with the Arrow of Light Award, in recognition of earning at least eight badges.  The Arrow of Light Award is the highest award in Cub Scouting.
