Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Ryan William Wanek for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare September 13, 2017, to be "Ryan Wanek Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award is the highest rank in Scouting of which only 4 percent of youth earn and is based on performances in the areas of responsibility, leadership, service and outdoor skills; and,

 

WHEREAS, Ryan William Wanek, son of Raymond Wanek and Susan Bann, completed all requirements and earned the rank of Eagle Scout on September 13, 2017 and will be awarded at the Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony to be held on January 13, 2018; and,

 

WHEREAS, for his final project to obtain Eagle Scout, Ryan built sixteen picnic tables and one handicap table for the Crafton Ingram Thornburg (C.I.T.) Athletic Association to benefit the field’s concession stand; and,

 

WHEREAS, Ryan belongs to Troop 147, the oldest troop in the  Pittsburgh region celebrating 106 years, and was a former Sr. Patrol Leader and Asst. Sr. Patrol Leader; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Ryan William Wanek for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare September 13, 2017, to be “Ryan Wanek Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
