Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Resolution 1016 of 1991, entitled "RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the City Controller to create a special trust fund, to be designated as the Emergency Medical Services Reimbursed Events Trust Fund (EMSRETF), for the deposit of monies from reimbursed special events, and authorizing the use of monies deposited therein by the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, to cover premium pay for Emergency Medical Services Personnel only" is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. The City Controller is authorized and directed to create a special trust fund, at no cost to the City, to be designated as the EMS Secondary Employment Trust Fund with JD Edwards job number 2200243700, into which any and all monies collected from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Details, Secondary Employment, Special Events cost recovery, and any and all administrative charges associated with the administration and implementation of programs that require the provision of EMS services on a premium pay basis. All reimbursements for EMS Premium Pay Details shall be deposited by the Department of Public Safety in a manner prescribed by the Director of Finance into said trust fund.
Section 2. Reimbursements to EMS personnel for Details, Secondary Employment, and/or Special Events, including pay and related taxes paid by the employer, may be paid directly from this trust fund or via a different City funding source.
