WHEREAS, in 1926, Dr. Carter G. Woodson launched Negro History Week, during the second week of February, as an initiative to bring national attention to the contributions of black people throughout American history. Today, we celebrate the month of February as "Black History Month," educating our community and youth of the significant accomplishments and barriers of our African American leaders. This is an opportunity to acknowledge and examine the leadership, perseverance, and dedication of these leaders; and
WHEREAS, in 1999, City of Pittsburgh natives, Mr. Charles Stewart and Mr. Chad Washington being discontented with Corporate America and yearning to give back to the community, created Time Business Solutions Incorporated with the primary goal of providing a way for businesses to find technology solutions; and
WHEREAS, Time Business Solutions Incorporated's innovative idea to sell computer goods and services to corporations while using the profits to keep technology and technological services in the community was initiated by it's founders. This hands-on community collaborative effort is what separates Time Business Solutions Incorporated from its competitors. Time Business is truly ahead of it's time and will continue to lead our community throughout the new millennium with its state of the art services and products.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does hereby acknowledge and applaud the ingenious and innovative Mr. Charles Stewart and Mr. Chad Washington for having know how and the follow through to implement a plan that first and foremost gives back to the community and it's residents while building a strong technological foundation in which the community can grow and prosper.
