Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Department of City Planning to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission's Keystone Historic Preservation Planning Grants program to support updating the current historical context for the Manchester Historic District to properly reflect events which occurred that supported the Civil Rights Movement and further providing for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($17,500.00) dollars for this stated purpose. The grant requires a match from the City of Pittsburgh in the amount of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($17,500.00) dollars for this stated purpose for a total project cost of THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND ($35,000.00) dollars.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Department of City Planning are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission in order to receive a grant award in the amount of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED (17,500.00) dollars for the purpose of updating the current historical context for the Manchester Historic District to properly reflect events which occurred that supported the Civil Rights Movement. The grant requires a match from the City of Pittsburgh in the amount of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($17,500.00) dollars to come out of the City of Pittsburgh Capital Budget (JDE Job Number 1130172121) for a total project cost of THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND ($35,000.00) dollars. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 1129400359.45505.00.
Section 2. The Mayor and the Department of City Planning of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into agreements, or contracts, or utilize existing agreements or contracts not to exceed SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($17,500.00) dollars for the purpose of updating the current historical context for t...
