Resolution amending Resolution 333 of 2024 authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a professional services agreement with Starfire Corporation, for the display of a fireworks show in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival for a three-year term at a total amount not to exceed of Two Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($252,200.00) by modifying the code account to include payment from the general fund.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh requires as part of its Independence Day Festival, professional services for a fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, Starfire Corporation, was selected through a competitive process as qualified for the performance of said professional services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh now wishes to enter into an agreement with Starfire Corporation, for the performance of a fireworks display in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with Starfire Corporation, for the display of a fireworks show in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival for a three-year term (2024-2026) at a total amount not to exceed of Two Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($252,200.00) authorized and appropriated from the following chart of accounts:
2024: $80,000.00 from 5000731400.53901.00
2025: $84,000.00 from 11101.500000.53.53901.2025
2026: $88,200.00 from 11101.500000.53.53901.2026
Section 2. Said agreement shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form.
