Whereas, Sarah Youngblood was born January 3, 1939 in Alabama. She started singing at the age of 3 years old. She is the wife of Bishop Moses Youngblood. They have been married for 48 years and they have been blessed with 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and
Whereas, wherever Mrs. Youngblood goes you can expect to hear a song of praise. She is a prayer warrior and has been known to expound on the word from time to time. Mrs. Youngblood loves the Lord with her whole heart and is willing to help anyone in need with a song, prayer or a listening ear; and
Whereas, Mrs. Youngblood has recently recorded a song with the Higher Call World Outreach Church Choir, "He Looked Beyond." She currently is a member of "Higher Call" under the leadership of her youngest son Bishop Duane E. Youngblood, Th. D.; and
Whereas, we honor the life and commitment of Sarah Youngblood. These proverbs are a reflection of Mrs. Youngblood: Proverbs 31:10 who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does recognize and commend Mrs. Youngblood for her caring heart and timeless dedication to help those that come to her for inspirational advice.
