Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation ("MWCDC") to assist in stewardship and planning for the planned Grandview Scenic Byway Park.
Body
Whereas, the City intends to create a new city park named the Grandview Scenic Byway Park, which will be comprised of various city-owned properties as well as currently existing smaller parks in the Mt. Washington section of the City of Pittsburgh; and
Whereas, the MWCDC, a non-profit corporation, has expressed an interest in establishing an alliance with the City to provide assistance with planning and other stewardship activities relating to the Grandview Scenic Byway Park; and
Whereas, the City and MWCDC wish to enter into a Cooperation Agreement to set forth the terms of a partnership that will enhance the City's ability to operate, maintain, and enhance the attractiveness of the Grandview Scenic Byway Park.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as Follows:
Section 1. The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Director of the Department of Public Works are authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation ("MWCDC") to permit the MWCDC to assist in stewardship and planning for the planned Grandview Scenic Byway Park. The Agreement or Agreements shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor.
