Title: WHEREAS, On Thursday, May 3, 2007, the Young Preservationists Association will be holding a historical marker dedication ceremony celebrating the National Negro Opera Company on 7101 Apple Street, and WHEREAS, the National Negro Opera Company has been named one of the Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh's Best Preservation Opportunities, and WHEREAS, the Young Preservationists Association has been committed to inspiring young people to become devoted to historical preservation, and WHEREAS, the Young Preservationists Association was started in 2002, and has since flourished offering tours, events, partnerships and research to inspire historical preservation throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does recognize the Young Preservationists Association on its historical marker dedication ceremony for the National Negro Opera House, and commends the Young Preservationists Association for t...
