Resolution approving Execution of a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh, for the sale of Block 88-M, Lot 200, in the 14th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh (1614-1680 Parkview Boulevard - Council District No. 5) at no cost to the City.

Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (“URA”), owner of certain property in the Summerset at Frick Park project, located in the 14th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, has requested authorization to execute a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh for the sale of Block 88-M, Lot 200, in the 14th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh for the sum of $1.00; and

 

Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to accept the aforementioned Deed in accordance with the Summerset at Frick Park/Expansion of Frick Park Cooperation Agreement entered into by the URA and City of Pittsburgh on July 26, 2002; and

 

Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed conveyance is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.

 

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     That execution of a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh for the sale of Block 88-M, Lot 200, in the 14th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh for the sum of $1.00, be and the same is hereby approved.

 

Section 2.                     That acceptance of the aforementioned Deed by the City of Pittsburgh is hereby approved.
