Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does hereby recognize and commend, the American Legion Crispus Attucks Post 30.

WHEREAS, Crispus Attucks Post 30 is the oldest Black  American Legion post in the United States; and
 
WHEREAS, Crispus Attucks Post 30 was chartered in 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their first post home was Crawford Street Bath House and their first post Commander was C.C. Crawford; and
WHEREAS, the American Legion Post 30 was named for Crispus Attucks, one of the first casualties of the American Revolution when he was shot and killed in what became known as the Boston Massacre; and  
 
WHEREAS, Crispus Attucks Post 30 has volunteered in the community since its inception; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does hereby recognize and commend, the American Legion Crispus Attucks Post 30.
