Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of the Department of Parks & Recreation to enter on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh into a License Agreement or Agreements with Carnegie Mellon University for the Smart Parks Deployment project in Mellon Park at no cost to the City.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     On behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby authorized to enter into a License Agreement or Agreements with Carnegie Mellon University for the Smart Parks Deployment project in Mellon Park, which will involve the installation of sensing nodes (using technology developed by Carnegie Mellon University called “Urbano”) placed upon light poles within Mellon Park owned by the City and related data collection activities.

 

Such Agreements(s) shall be approved as to form by the City Solicitor and are at no cost to the City.
