Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City Pittsburgh commends the Pittsburgh Dialogue Foundation for its past initiatives and ongoing contribution to community cultural development and appreciation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares April 20, 2008, “International Children's Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Dialogue Foundation will celebrate the Third Annual International Children's Day on April 20, 2008; and
 
WHEREAS, the event will feature children groups representing American, Chinese, Indian, Irish, and Turkish cultures; and
 
WHEREAS, all proceeds from the event will go to The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh; and
 
WHEREAS, the mission of the Pittsburgh Dialogue Foundation is to enrich cultural diversity, to promote intercultural dialogue and to encourage cultural exchange through social, arts, and educational events; and
 
WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Dialogue Foundation is dedicated to building a platform where people of different cultures and faiths can come together and appreciate their differences and similarities in a friendly atmosphere.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City Pittsburgh commends the Pittsburgh Dialogue Foundation for its past initiatives and ongoing contribution to community cultural development and appreciation; and
