Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to grant the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority a permanent utility easement and the privilege and license to install, use, operate, maintain, repair, renew and finally remove a 36 inch storm sewer line across City of Pittsburgh property designated as Block 10-R, Lot No. 83 located at 2325 Reed Street in the 5th Ward.

Body
WHEREAS, The City of Pittsburgh owns certain vacant property at 2325 Reed Street, Block 10-R, Lot No. 83 in the 5th Ward.

WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority in connection with Oak Hill Phase 1C Project requires a connection across parcel 10-R-83 for a 36 inch storm sewer to connect the Reed Street Sewer and an existing sewer in La Place Street.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority for a permanent easement through City of Pittsburgh property Block 10-R, Lot No. 83. Said agreement shall be in form approved by the City Solicitor and shall contain such terms and conditions for the protection of the City of Pittsburgh as said Solicitor may require.

Description of Utility Easement:
A copy of the proposed construction plan is attachment “A” to this request. The required 20 foot temporary construction easement and a final 20 foot permanent easement will encompass the entire 20' X 100' dimension of this parcel 10-R-83 between Reed Street and La Place Street.

Section 2. The privilege and easement hereby granted shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
a) The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority shall bear the full cost and expense of the installation, construction, use and maintenance of said permanent utility easement.
