WHEREAS high among the many unsung heroes of our City are the 911, rescue, paramedic, and fire teams; and
WHEREAS a particular incident of saving a life gives us a good reason to pause to thank each and all of our rescuers; and
WHEREAS on November 30, 2007, Mr. Frank Cerra's life was suddenly in danger, and his wife, Ms. Carrol Cerra, phoned 911 for assistance, and those who answered the call brought Mr. Cerra back to life and delivered him into the hands of the doctors;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor all of the City's emergency responders, and, in particular, Paramedic Jeffrey Ream and Paramedic George Mildner of Rescue 2; Paramedic Stacey Yaras and Crew Chief Mark Bonasso of Medic 10; and Lieutenant David Kurz, Firefighter Steven Zielmanski and Firefighter Jeff Yoder of the Bureau of Fire, in thanks for helping Mr. and Mrs. Cerra, and as representative of all the good work done each day in the City of Pittsburgh by our responders.
