WHEREAS, Louann Horan started part-time with the City of Pittsburgh on September 9, 1996 as a Clerk in the Controller’s Office and in 1998 became full-time with the Office of Management and Budget under Mayor Tom Murphy; and,

WHEREAS, in 2001, Louann began her career in Parks and Recreation as an Accounting Supervisor and has moved up the ranks since. In 2019, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Senior Programs for CitiParks, where she currently serves; and,
WHEREAS, her dedicated service is evident through her willingness to help people and resolve issues that may arise with her intuitive responses. She is a very caring person who works well with all people and uses her knowledge of the City to fulfill her duties with pride and leadership; and,
WHEREAS, the constant, reliable contributions from employees like Louann are vital to the residents of the City of Pittsburgh. Louann resides in Lincoln Place and has two children and enjoys her four grandsons; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and thank Louann Horan for her years of continued service to the City of Pittsburgh; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Monday, March 18, 2024 to be “Louann Horan Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
