WHEREAS, Jon has been a trusted voice in journalism since 1994, when he became the first political analyst for KDKA-TV in its history. He joined KDKA full-time in 2001 as the Money & Politics Editor and this region's only political analyst who covers national and local issues that affect Pittsburgh residents. Beyond the newsroom, he has hosted and produced shows like Sunday Business Page and Inside PA Politics; and,

WHEREAS, his exclusive interviews with Presidents, Vice Presidents, and other prominent leaders have provided viewers with valuable insights. He was the only local TV journalist invited to join the President's motorcade while covering the visit to the Tree of Life Synagogue in 2018. During the 2024 presidential campaign, Jon was the only local television reporter to secure one-on-one interviews with both presidential candidates. Additionally, he has dedicated 25 years to teaching at Carnegie Mellon University, imparting his expertise to future leaders; and,

WHEREAS, Delano's exceptional journalism has earned him prestigious accolades, including the Edward R. Murrow Award and multiple Golden Quill Awards. He was also honored with the Clarity Award by the Pennsylvania Bar Association for his ability to analyze complex legal issues and present them in a way that is understandable to any audience; and,

WHEREAS, Delano is active in his church and volunteers for several community organizations. He often moderates and facilitates seminars, candidate debates and programs and speaks on governmental and political issues to civic, business and labor groups.
