Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Office of Management and Budget to renew the Non-Exclusive License Agreement with the Federal General Services Administration for the Veterans Affairs Highland Drive Campus at 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 for limited use and to conduct due diligence pursuant to the application approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Justice to acquire the property for law enforcement and emergency management purposes.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 641 effective September 28, 2018, the City of Pittsburgh and the Federal General Services Administration (GSA) entered into a Non-Exclusive License Agreement, expiring December 31, 2018, for access to the Veterans Affairs Highland Drive Campus at 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 32 effective January 10, 2019, the City of Pittsburgh and the GSA extended the Non-Exclusive License Agreement, through a period expiring April 30th, 2019, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 271 effective April 25, 2019, the City of Pittsburgh and the GSA extended the Non-Exclusive License Agreement, through a period expiring September 30th, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the GSA and the City of Pittsburgh wish to execute a third renewal of the expiring agreement; and
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management, on behalf of the City, are now authorized to renew the Non-Exclusive License Agreement with the Federal General Services Administration for the Veterans Affairs Highland Drive Campus at 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 for limited use and to conduct due diligence pursuant to the application approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Justice to acquire the property for law enforcement and emergency management purposes.
