Title
Resolution providing for the designation as Historic Structures under Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances that certain structures known as the Ross and Aspinwall Pumping Stations, located at 900 Freeport Road (171-B-1-0-2), in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar Neighborhood, in the 12th Ward, in the City of Pittsburgh. The owner of the property supports the nomination and there is no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh has duly enacted Title 11 of the Code of Ordinances, which protects and preserves Historic Structures, Districts, Sites, and Objects; and
WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Water nominated the Ross and Aspinwall Pumping Stations for designation as Historic Structures; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Review Commission has voted to submit a recommendation to City Council to designate the Ross and Aspinwall Pumping Stations as Historic Structures; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has held a public hearing to gather testimony from the property owner and other interested parties concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission voted to provide a positive recommendation to City Council for designating the Ross and Aspinwall Pumping Stations as a Historic Structures; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh held a public hearing to gather testimony from the public concerning the appropriateness of this designation; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh finds that the aforementioned Ross and Aspinwall Pumping Stations as Historic Structures that should be preserved;
