WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP) is a non-profit organization that engages young professionals by providing opportunities for civic engagement, social interaction, and educational opportunities; and
WHEREAS, it is PUMP's mission to work to attract and retain young professionals to the area; and
WHEREAS, PUMP desires to be more self-sufficient so it can support the programming and operations of the organization, the activities it provides to members, and efforts to improve quality of life in the region.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognizes the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP) to be a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
