Resolution authorizing  the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management & Budget, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a no-cost professional service agreement or agreements to work with experts from the Harvard University Government Performance Lab (GPL) to create templates, contract language and key performance indicators for outcomes-based procurements.

WHEREAS, the City has participated with the What Works Cities program in order to enhance the City’s data driven methodology; and

 

WHEREAS, GPL is a part of the What Works Cities program and has offered its professional experience and expert skills in the area of outcomes-based procurements at no cost to the City; and

 

WHEREAS, the City desires to engage GPL to assist the City in elevating the City’s outcomes-based procurements to pursue the City’s goals under the What Works Cities program;

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     Resolution authorizing  the Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management & Budget, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a no-cost professional service agreement or agreements to work with experts from the Harvard University Government Performance Lab (GPL) to create templates, contract language and key performance indicators for outcomes-based procurements.  

 

This project with GPL will build our ability to create outcomes-based procurements and to track and report on their performance.  Further, we will be able to use that data to inform future procurements and contracts to help achieve the City’s sustainability goals.

 

 

Section 2. Said agreement or agreements shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor.
