Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission are hereby authorized to renew the "City of Pittsburgh Managed Care Program Worker's Compensation Contract 2006-2009" with UPMC Work Partners, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, in order to provide for compensation in the amount of Five Million One Hundred Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Ninety Dollars ($5,119,590) for the calendar year 2008.  This amount shall be chargeable to and payable from Worker's Compensation Program Medical, Account 574300, Fund 8170, Organization 999300, Sub Class 600 and Budget Year 2008, Department of Personnel and Civil Service.
