Resolution providing for the issuance of a warrant in the sum of $275,000.00 to be placed in escrow, c/o the Clerk of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in full and final settlement of an action filed at CA No. 96-560 and all actions consolidated thereunder, and arising from incidents that allegedly occurred between 1994 and 1997 between several named individuals and several named defendant police officers.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to issue and the City Controller to countersign a Warrant to be placed in escrow, c/o the Clerk of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in the amount of $275,000.00, in full and final settlement of all claims filed in the Western District of Pennsylvania, at CA No. 96-560 and all actions consolidated thereunder, including the appeal pending before the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals and arising out of incidents that allegedly occurred between 1994 and 1997 between several named individuals and several named defendant police officers, and charge the same to Code Account 46, Index Code 004606, Fund 1000, Sub 170, Account 582200, Org. 999200, Budget Year 2002.
