WHEREAS, Central Outreach Wellness Center was founded in 2015 with a mission to provide inclusive, equitable healthcare that fosters wellness for the whole person and removes barriers to care for all individuals; and
WHEREAS, over the past decade, Central Outreach has grown from its original North Shore location into a vital medical clinic serving communities across Western Pennsylvania and beyond; and
WHEREAS, through patient centered services including HIV and STI prevention and treatment, Hepatitis C cure initiatives, gender affirming care, mental health support, primary care, and harm reduction advocacy, Central Outreach has improved health outcomes and quality of life for LGBTQIA+ communities and all who seek care; and
WHEREAS, the leadership and staff of Central Outreach Wellness Center have responded to community needs throughout public health crises, including testing initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine outreach during the MPX outbreak; and
WHEREAS, through advocacy, education, and outreach, Central Outreach Wellness Center continues to reduce stigma, expand access to essential services, and ensure that every person can receive care without judgment or discrimination;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, March 10, 2026, to be “Central Outreach Wellness Center Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
