Title: WHEREAS, Pennsylvania Works! is a coalition of environmental, conservation, housing and research groups which have joined together to support sustainable environmental, economic and community planning policies and to promote government accountability; and WHEREAS, the mission of the Pennsylvania Works! campaign is to advocate for specific legislative and administrative initiatives that generate economic opportunities and job creation, promote government efficiency, and create vibrant, prosperous, and livable communities throughout Pennsylvania; and WHEREAS, the agenda of Pennsylvania Works! includes creating family sustaining jobs in the clean energy field, encouraging legislators to spend infrastructure dollars on the maintenance of existing road, transportation and sewer systems, demanding accountability for economic development projects that use public funds, stabilizing the housing market by assisting struggling homeowners and enabling county and local governments to work to...

WHEREAS, the mission of the Pennsylvania Works! campaign is to advocate for specific legislative and administrative initiatives that generate economic opportunities and job creation, promote government efficiency, and create vibrant, prosperous, and livable communities throughout Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, the founding partners of Pennsylvania Works! include Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future (PennFuture), 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Alliance, the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania, Keystone Research Center, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, PennEnvironment, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, Preservation Pennsylvania and Regional Housing Legal Services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh endorses Pennsylvania Works! and thanks its founders for working together to build a stronger commonwealth.
