• Title: WHEREAS, the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will celebrate National Philanthropy Day® on November 15th, 2007; and WHEREAS, every year in the United States, over $240 billion is donated to charities and nonprofit organizations that improve communities everywhere; and WHEREAS, the following individuals and organizations will be honored: · Eliza and Hugh Nevin · William Baierl · Lucy and Ian Rawson · Maris Kreutzer · Chris Shotter · K-Kids at Fulton Academy · Treasure House Fashions · G. Reynolds Clark · Jim Leeper · Elizabeth McCarthy · Constance Schwartz-Bed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes National Philanthropy Day® and thanks the awardees for improving the quality of life for the people of southwestern Pennsylvania ; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares November 15th, 2007 "National Philanthropy Day®" in the C...
